Channeling your menstrual blood into creative expression may feel unfamiliar at first, as you step into this sacred reclamation. If you feel called but hesitant to begin, consider exploring Jasmine Alicia Carter’s Free Menstrual Art Workshop as a beautiful portal into this transformative practice.

Creating art with your menstrual blood is a way for you to connect with the raw creative power of your womb. When we create with this life-giving substance, we honor our place as creators in the web of life. sounds of the inner seasons

Designed for the wintering sacred creatress, may this sonic tapestry cradle you in the reverent stillness of your inner winter, echoing the mystery of the dark moon as you surrender to the potent void and create from the depths.

Curated for the spring sacred creatress, may this melodic journey uplift you in the playful stirrings of your inner spring, echoing the bright promise of the waxing crescent moon as you awaken new visions and create from a place of curiousity and renewal.

the exhibition of our blood

We are creating a world where many generations
in one family honor
the red thread that
ties them together.

A world where the blood
of mothers is sacred.

A world where menstruation is seen
as the life-giving cycle that perpetuates humanity.

A world where
our children know
where they came from.

the blood sisters
of the
red temple

The Blood Sisters of the Red Temple is a collective of womb-bodied women who gather in ceremony to create art with their menstrual blood. Their work has been featured in exhibits honoring the sacredness of menstruation and unraveling the outdated taboo surrounding this primal substance — the very source of life itself. Through these offerings, they are reshaping cultural narratives about menstruation and reminding the community of the cyclical force that fuels our existence.

The first menstrual art exhibit birthed by The Blood Sisters of the Red Temple, featured menstruation and yoni-themed artwork from over twelve artists, along with vendor booths, yoni clay crafting activities, and live interviews with The Red Temple Podcast. This was the first of many events sparking the Redvolution of our sacred femininity, and the reclamation of a truth long forgotten — WE ALL COME FROM A WOMB.

The second menstrual art exhibit created by The Blood Sisters of the Red Temple — an immersive, introspective, non-verbal Shamanic Womb Cave; a sacred space to remember where we came from. Anchored in reverence with a Mother Goddess altar, the red dome featured menstrual blood cave drawings from eight artists and a heart-centered chandelier adorned with menstrual art from womb-holders across the globe.
